The BP-3i is a battery INSERT; it is an 8.4volt 350mAh Nickel Cadmium assembly that goes inside a BP-3 style battery pack housing (for ICOM). The original pack unscrews open, andsome soldering is required for removal of old insert, and installation of new insert. These are now made with premium-quality SANYO 350mAh NiCd cells.
